Our Client

Heifer Station Vineyard, nestled on the volcanic basalt slopes of Mt. Canobolas, spans 65 acres of prime vineyard land. With a rich history and a commitment to producing premium wines, they cultivate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Merlot, and Shiraz. We are seeking a dedicated Vineyard Manager to join the team and oversee the farming of this beautiful vineyard.

The Role

Working closely with a consultant, The Vineyard Manager will be responsible for all aspects of vineyard management, ensuring the successful cultivation of varied grape varieties. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage vineyard contractors effectively, particularly during critical periods such as pruning, canopy adjustments, and harvest.

There are various employment opportunities for a partner through the cellar door facility and events management.

About You

You either have previous experience in vineyard management, horticulture or cropping, with a passion for farming and a commitment to excellence.

  • Proven track record in vineyard operations, horticulture or farm activities
  • Skilled in leading and supervising contractors
  • Expertise in chemical handling and tractor operations
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Adherence to HR and safety policies
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Must hold Chemcert certificate
