The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of SEQ, the Training and Compliance Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a strong safety, environmental and quality compliance culture across all AFMH sites. You will be working in close partnership with all departments to ensure the AFMH Safety, Environment and Quality (SEQ) plans are implemented to the required standard.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all activities pertaining to training, as well as ensuring compliance and currency across safety, environment and quality
• Maintain and implement appropriate management systems to accurately record activities and events
• Implement and oversee actions arising from the SEQ plans to ensure compliance and continual improvement
• Manage external and internal resources in meeting all training requirements across all sites
• Promote a safety-first culture and lead by example
• Report all hazards, incidents and near misses, and assist with actions to reduce and eliminate risks.

Requirements for the role:

• Relevant practical experience in similar training or compliance related roles
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and manage competing prioritised
• Ability to build strong collaborative relationships and positively influence the advancement of safety, environmental and quality initiatives
• Degree or diploma in applied science/environment/agriculture/risk management is desirable
• Certificate IV in WHS, Workplace Trainer and Assessor (TAE40133), and Compliance and Risk Management 10964NAT is desirable
