The Role
This is a unique opportunity to kick-start your career with Australia's largest livestock contractor. As a Trainee Manager, you'll work alongside the Sale Manager to manage contracts, maintain industry relationships, enhance IT systems, and explore new opportunities within the industry. You'll be part of a forward-thinking team that values progression and fosters a safe, supportive environment.

Location
Based at the Western Victoria Livestock Exchange (WVLX) in Mortlake, VIC, you may also have the opportunity to travel to other saleyards across Victoria, as well as to assist teams in New South Wales and Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage professionally with clients, saleyard management, and agents
  • Support the maintenance and execution of current contracts
  • Assist with livestock and saleyard operations
  • Mentor staff to boost productivity
  • Utilise and improve software systems and livestock precision technology

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience or exposure to the agricultural and livestock industry
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • A willingness to learn new processes, software, and technology
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
