We are looking for a motivated and reliable Swimming Pool Technician to join the team at Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre. In this role, you will play a crucial part in upholding the high standards of quality and ensuring that the all facilities within the Tweed Shire remain in pristine condition for valued patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional pool service by delivering clean, chemically safe, and well-maintained swimming pools across all sites within the Tweed Shire
- Proactively identify and resolve any challenges that arise during service, applying problem-solving skills effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, chlorinators, pool cleaners, and heat pumps.
- Handle and lift heavy items, such as salt and chemicals, in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards. (Must be able to lift up to 25kg.)
Requirements:
- Pool Operations Certificate (essential).
- Availability to work across 7 days a week, including evenings until 7pm.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of pool equipment and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to handle and lift heavy items safely.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Work a 7 day roster, with working hours up until 7pm
