Engineering Surveyor - Byron Shire Council

Spinifex are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Surveyor to join local councils dynamic Infrastructure Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality, timely, and accurate engineering surveys for key capital works projects and maintenance activities in one of the most beautiful regions of Australia.

About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader Survey and Design, you will:

• Conduct cadastral, geodetic, and engineering surveys.
• Provide accurate data for base plots, investigations, and works execution.
• Operate Total Station, GNSS, and CAD software.
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and government agencies.
• Assist with traffic data collection and minor designs.

About You
You will bring:

• Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering Surveying or equivalent spatial science.
• Experience: Demonstrated expertise in engineering and topographic surveying, plan interpretation, and quantity estimation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD, GPS, and survey equipment.
• Workplace Skills: Strong time management, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Licenses: Current driver's license, White Card!

Desirable Skills:

• Registration as a Survey Associate.
• Knowledge of GIS mapping systems and sustainability principles.
• Confined spaces certification.
• Relevant traffic control certifications
