The Location
Based in Roma, in the Maranoa region of South-Central Queensland, you will be operating out of the Roma Saleyards-the largest cattle saleyard in the Southern Hemisphere. Roma is a place where "country meets the outback," offering a unique lifestyle and work environment.

The Role
This is an incredible opportunity to work with Australia's largest livestock contractor. As a Stock Handler, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations at the Roma Saleyards, with responsibilities that include livestock handling, ear tagging, NLIS scanning, and more. You'll also have the chance to travel to other saleyards, gaining exposure to various locations and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Induct cattle into the saleyard and load trucks
  • Handle livestock, including the drafting of cattle
  • Perform ear tagging and NLIS scanning
  • Report issues and provide feedback to senior staff

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with cattle is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
  • A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
