Limekilns Pastoral Co is a well-established commercial Angus breeding operation situated on a 3,500-acre property. The Location
The property sits conveniently between Bathurst and Lithgow, two lively regional towns known for their friendly communities, active social scenes, and great local events. It's an ideal spot for anyone who enjoys rural life with easy access to amenities and a buzzing community.
On-site accommodation is provided in a newly renovated 2-bedroom furnished cottage, complete with power, internet, and phone access.
The Job
Limekilns Pastoral Co is seeking a reliable and motivated Station Hand to assist with day-to-day operations across the property. Responsibilities will include:
- Livestock handling and general cattle work
- Operating and maintaining modern farm machinery (including a new John Deere tractor)
- Fencing construction and maintenance
- Motorbike and side-by-side operation
- Spraying and weed control
- Assisting in the production of fodder crops for cattle feed
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a practical mindset, and a genuine interest in livestock. Prior experience is great, but a willingness to learn is even more important.
- Experienced in cattle handling and livestock care
- Ability to ride a horse / muster on horseback
- Own horse and dog is an advantage
- Confidence operating modern farm machinery
- Skills in fencing, spraying, and general farm maintenance
- Basic mechanical skills and welding skills are an advantage
- A proactive, can-do approach and ability to work unsupervised
- Good communication and teamwork skills
