About the role (Senior Plant Metallurgist)
Our team has an opportunity for a Senior Plant Metallurgist within the Ore Processing Department reporting to the Ore processing Technical Superintendent
This role is responsible for performing plant data and trend analysis, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities, evaluating initiatives, planning and executing projects to optimize throughput/recovery/costs, utilizing reporting platforms to summarise data, and overseeing process control system (PCS) changes.

The successful applicant will possess the following:
Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy, Chemical, Mineral Processing) or similar
- Demonstrated experience in mineral processing in base or precious metals
- Process improvement capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of a team and organisation
- Experience with OSA and PSI operation
- Perform cost/benefit analysis on plant related initiatives
- Identify any deficiencies in plant performance and provide recommendations on changes
- Conduct critical control verifications and participate in plant safety inspections
- Lead and participate in plant production loss investigations and all PCS related incidents
- Routine monitoring of PCS control loops, interlocks, and alarms to identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct options analysis and build business cases for capital project proposals
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (manual preferred)
