Senior Vineyard Operator

Our Client

Heifer Station Vineyard, nestled on the volcanic basalt slopes of Mt. Canobolas, spans 65 acres of prime vineyard land. With a rich history and a commitment to producing premium wines, they cultivate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Merlot, and Shiraz.

The Role

As the Senior Vineyard Operator, you will play a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of the vineyard. Working closely with a consultant, you will focus on the cultivation of grapevines, equipment operation, and ensuring the vineyard's health and productivity throughout the growing seasons. While this role primarily operational, you will also coordinate with contractors for critical tasks such as pruning and harvest.

About You

You are an experienced operator with a strong background in viticulture. You thrive on hands-on work and take pride in maintaining high standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in vineyard operations
  • Competency in chemical handling and tractor operations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain vineyard health
  • Basic maintenance and repair skills for equipment
  • Ability to adapt to seasonal work demands, including longer hours during peak times
  • Chemcert certification is essential
  • Commitment to safety and following workplace policies
