Spinifex Recruiting are seeking a Rock Tools Technician for our mining client in Cobar, NSW. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician OR training can be provided.

About the role:

• Drill bit sharpener & associated duties
• 12 hour shifts
• 8/6 day shift roster (accommodation for applicants provided who don't reside in Cobar)
• On the job training provided
• $47.77/hour - casual flat rate

Duties include:

• Sharpening drill bits
• Collecting and distributing drill bits underground
• Ordering stock, data entry and record keeping
• General duties as required

About You:

• Must have a Manual drivers licence
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical & functional assessment including instant drug & alcohol test
• Must be able to pass a police check
• Previous experience as a Drill bit sharpener highly regarded
• Underground hard rock mining experience highly regarded
• Ability to safely lift 40kgs
• Good computer and general literacy skills
