The Company:

Our client is a family-owned business, priding themselves on sourcing unique and quality timber products while ensuring high levels of customer service and efficiency are maintained at all times. Based in the Mullumbimby industrial sector, a quick drive into town, cafes, supermarkets and everything else essential!

The role is initially on a casual full-time basis that will transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the day-to-day operations of the yard to run smoothly
• Serving customers - ensuring they have an outstanding customer-service experience
• Picking, packing and quality assurance
• Loading & unloading trucks
• Coordinating and motivating a small team of two
• All aspects of stock control
• Wrapping & strapping of timber
• Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the timber yard
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

Physically fit and hands on!

This role isn't an office job! Must be comfortable manual handling

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

You love building rapport with customers and colleagues

You're comfortable delegating tasks and working under pressure

Friendly and approachable demeanour

You have a warm energy and enjoy working with people

Requirements:

• Ability to safely manual handle
• Class C Drivers Licence
• Substantial tenure in past roles
• Forklift Licence (LF) or willingness to obtain quickly
• Comfortable picking up new technology
• Full Australian working rights (Australian citizen or resident)
• 2 recent professional references

Desirable:

• Knowledge of timber varieties
• Previous leadership experience
• Experience in customer facing roles
