About the Role:
Tweed Shire Council is on the lookout for an IT Support Officer to join their vibrant, fast-paced team in Corporate Services. You'll play a key role in troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and providing exceptional support to Council staff. Working in a dynamic environment, your focus will be on delivering a seamless, efficient service to keep operations running smoothly.

What Does Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

  • Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, offering both remote and on-site support when necessary.
  • Ticket Management: Use council's service desk system to log, prioritise, and track support requests from staff, ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Communication: Clearly explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical users in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address recurring issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to avoid future problems.

What We're Looking For:

  • Certificate IV in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels.
  • A passion for problem-solving, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a busy environment.
