Passionate about horticulture and maintaining beautiful open spaces? Ballina Shire Council is seeking a Horticulturist Tradesperson to oversee and contribute to a small team responsible for keeping the Shire's open spaces in top condition.

Horticulturist Tradesperson - Open Spaces & Reserves

Hours: 6:30 am - 3:40 pm, 9-day fortnight
Engagement Period: Approx. 8-12 weeks (chance of extension for the right person)

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and working within a small team to maintain open spaces

• Applying horticulture expertise to enhance public areas

• General labouring duties as required

What You Need:

✅ Horticulture trade qualification (Cert III and above)
✅ Horticulture industry experience
✅ Chemical ticket (current)
✅ General labouring experience and physical ability
✅ Driver's licence

Desirable:

✔ Traffic Controller ticket
✔ Implement Traffic Control Plans ticket
✔ Chainsaw ticket
✔ White Card
