Our client, AgriFutures Australia is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator (Payroll and Accounts Payable) to join our Corporate team. Based in Wagga Wagga, this role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll and accounts payable functions. About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate (Finance), you will:

  • Oversee payroll operations, including fortnightly payroll processing, pay progression monitoring, and Single Touch Payroll reporting.
  • Manage the MYOB finance system, coordinating integration projects, upgrades, and training staff.
  • Prepare financial reconciliations, including weekly bank reconciliations and monitoring outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Assist with annual financial declarations, Fringe Benefits Tax workpapers, and reports to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry.
  • Provide accounts payable support during periods of absence and assist with broader corporate team tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and reporting requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Skills and Experience

Mandatory:

  • Demonstrated experience with finance software (preferably MYOB).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Desirable:

  • Payroll qualifications or significant payroll experience.
  • Familiarity with payroll legislation and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience delivering training and interpreting complex financial data.
  • Interest in Australian agriculture or an understanding of statutory authority requirements.
