Job description
Mineral Hill Mine is located 65km north of Condobolin in Central West NSW. Owned by Kingston Resources, Mineral Hill is a workplace that values safety, continuous improvement, innovation and creativity. As part of their transition to open pit mining, an exciting new role has been created for an Emergency Services/Safety Officer to work back-to-back with an existing role.
Mineral Hill is a residential mine, FIFO is not available.This role is most suitable for local applicants or those seeking to relocate.
About the role
The field tech assists in the safe and efficient functioning of the open pit and underground geology functions and the Geology team with the goal of maximising recovery. Duties include:
- collection of grade control, chip trays and other samples as required
- Sample processing where required
- Assist with data recording and reporting
- Manage dispatch of samples to external laboratory
- Assist mine geologist/s as required

Skills/Experience
Whilst prior experience in a similar role would be desirable, it is not essential. At a minimum, the successful candidate will have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sound computer literacy and keyboard skills
- Valid driver's licence - Manual and Forklift ticket desirable
- Physically fit, capable of being on your feet for long periods and prepared to work in outdoor, challenging environment.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with safety processes
