Blantyre Farms Pastoral Group is a leading agricultural enterprise dedicated to sustainable farming practices and livestock management. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their property 'Eulie', ensuring the business objectives are conducted efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

The Property

Eulie is a diverse and productive 4,500-acre property located south of Harden, off Jugiong Road, just 10 kms from Harden and 45 kms from Young. The farm includes 400 hectares of Lucerne and Clover, 1,000 hectares of native and natural pasture, and 2,500 acres of cropping area, cultivating pasture, wheat, lupins, and canola. Eulie supports a thriving free-range lamb operation with 3,000 ewes and up to 6,000 sheep at peak, along with 150 Angus cows. The property benefits from reliable rainfall, excellent water security, and well-maintained infrastructure. An annual pasture renovation program ensures continued productivity and sustainability.

The Role

As the Eulie Farm Manager, you will play a crucial role in the senior leadership team, responsible for managing the property's operations, staff, and development. Your primary focus will be the successful implementation of annual cropping, pasture improvement, and livestock plans. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of livestock health, pasture management, and safety.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills:

  • Proven experience in property management within the agricultural sector
  • Strong knowledge of livestock and pasture improvement
  • Basic machinery operation skills and understanding of cropping plans.
  • Preparedness to operate and perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in employing and managing contractors.
  • Excellent leadership and staff management skills
  • Proficiency in using agricultural software (e.g., Agriwebb, Agworld)
  • Commitment to safety and sustainability
