Corrective Services Industries (CSI) is the commercial arm of Corrective Services NSW. CSI operates 14 business divisions over 120 commercial business units and 60+ services industries across 29 correctional centres in NSW.

CSI manufacture and provide a diverse range of products and services for sale to external customers as well as essential services for use within correctional centres. This includes Agriculture, Engineering, Furniture and Upholstery, Laundry and Textiles, Modular and Demountable Buildings, Facilities Maintenance and Print and Packaging.

Managed by Trade qualified overseers, CSI business units replicate the real-world working environment. This allows people in custody to participate in work programs providing opportunities to learn new skills and gain employment experience.

Trade Overseer Careers - Macquarie Correctional Centre Open Day - 1st March 2025

An Open Day onsite in Wellington is planned for applicants who may be interested in a career with CSI. This will be a rare opportunity to attend the centre for a guided tour, to see the facilities and speak with people who have made the move !

Trade Overseer positions are suitable for qualified (Certificate III) trades people who are interested in a well paid role with great opportunities for development and progression. The Overseers provide management, supervision, and training of people in custody while they're at work.

Expressions of interest are sought from the following trades who are interested in considering a change of direction!

• Boilermakers
• Carpenters

• Fitters
• Mechanical trades etc
