Environmental Coordinator
Job description
Our client is a leading construction company operating in Australia and internationally. Their projects are large-scale and require strict adherence to environmental compliance and best practice.
This is a permanent full-time role initially based at a 1000 hectare solar farm at Culcairn (near Albury NSW) however other projects will be coming on board later in 2025 across NSW and VIC, giving you plenty of variety and opportunities to develop your expertise.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 - 3 years experience with degree and experience in environmental field
- Competent being on site (this is a site based role with total adherence to WHS and Enviro compliance)
- Good communicator - able to give toolbox talks, training, giving direction and advice, enforcing compliance
- Experience communicating with site supervisors / superintendents and being the point of contact for enviro issues
- Experience working with ISO14001 Environmental Management System, knowledge of manage plans, emergency procedures and processes
- Understanding New South Wales environmental regulations and legislation.
- Be organised and able to complete all forms, processes and procedures required under the Management System (weekly inspections, rainfall checks, erosion control monitoring, water discharge checks etc)
- Have experience working with development consents and approvals and managing all of the conditions associated
- Have some experience with ecology, erosion control and water management.
- Experience dealing with EPA and regulators
- Experience undertaking audits with independent auditors
