Our client Evolution Northparkes Operations will celebrate 30 years of operations in 2024 and is known for innovative technology and committed people. Northparkes uses multiple mining methods including open pit, sub-level caving and was the first mine in Australia to use the block cave mining method. About the role:

This is a permanent opportunity, based in the Parkes region of NSW.

Working in Underground Operations on a 4/3 dayshift-shift relief roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on mining equipment and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician).
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a mining environment is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Instrumentation experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • High voltage switching is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of mining equipment and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Manual Driver's licence
