About the position
The Civil Construction Manager will be responsible for the supervision and delivery of civil construction works to ensure execution in accordance with the technical, quality, safety, and commercial requirements. This will include estimating, programming/scheduling, and delivery of civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities
- Program daily works, including coordination of labor resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment
- Ensure adherence to legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost, and safety
- Monitor and manage project progress and resolve issues to keep projects on track
- Maintain accurate project documentation
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, local authorities and other stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration
- Provide guidance and support to your team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will preferably be tertiary quaified (Engineering, Construction Management, etc.) and possess an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to self-manage and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
In addition, the position will require:
- Strong background in bulk earthwork and civil construction projects, including mining, residential subdivision, or infrastructure projects
- Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and safety regulations
- Experience in estimating and scheduling/planning
- Previous experience in growing or building a construction business is an advantage
- Sound commercial acumen and strategic focus
- Demonstrated ability to engage, develop and retain staff
- Strong general computer literacy
- Driver's Licence, White card.
