Our Client
Located in the Gundagai/Tarcutta area, our client operates two properties spanning 10,000 acres, running approximately 15,000 sheep and 1,000 Angus breeders. They are also actively engaged in an ongoing pasture improvement program. With a hands-on approach, they manage everything in-house, from breeding to property maintenance, and they're looking for someone to help drive future efficiency and innovation.

The Property
You'll be based on the 6,000-acre property in the Oberne Valley, just 18 km from Tarcutta and 70 km from Wagga Wagga. Conveniently positioned between Sydney and Melbourne, the property offers easy access to essential services.

The Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the property, working alongside the Manager and owners to:

  • Manage livestock and grazing operations
  • Implement modern farming technologies to improve efficiency
  • Coordinate property maintenance and liaise with contractors
  • Assist with animal health, marketing, logistics, and safety

About You
We're looking for someone who's proactive, motivated, and eager to take on a leadership role. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment, embrace new technologies, and be passionate about improving productivity and farm operations. You'll have:

  • Hands-on experience with livestock and grazing management
  • Excellent observation and strong communication skills
  • Self-motivation with a problem-solving mindset
  • Own team of working dogs
