An exciting opportunity awaits in our Byron Bay office to join our established finance and payroll team!

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Team in Byron Bay. This position reports to the Group Finance Controller and is responsible for conducting daily accounting duties to ensure corporate governance and statutory compliance for daily business operations.

Duties will include (but not limited to)

• Managing accounts payable
• Assist with all finance related external audits and reporting
• Various month-end reconciliations including bank and other balance sheet accounts
• Compliance Reporting and Lodgements as required including Payroll Tax, BAS, PAYG, FBT, Work Cover
• Assist with month end management processes and reporting.

Requirements for the role

• 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in MYOB
• Proficient in Excel
• Degree in Accounting
